Aging results in drooping of the eyebrows that can crowd the eyes and make the upper eyelids appear full. Drooping brows can be remedied with a brow lift procedure to lift, shape and reposition the eyebrows. This recreates the refined, delicate brow arch that symbolizes youth and beauty.
The brow lift procedure can create very natural, subtle and beautiful results in the right hands. In many cases of eye area aging a brow lift is the only way to truly rejuvenate the eye area and remove the drooping brow that develops over time. A brow lift involves elevating the brow into a more youthful position. This has the effect of opening the eyes and reducing the heaviness and hooding of the upper eyelids. In some cases of severe aging of the eyes, a brow lift will be combined with an upper eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty to more effectively rejuvenate the eye area.
Dr. Weber was excellent, and outside of having a master touch for otoplasty, was supportive and responsive throughout the entire process. Having now known him several months, I consider Dr. Weber not only my surgeon, but a family friend.
Having had otoplasty at the age of 13 to pin back ears that hadn't achieved the desired correction, I was reluctant to have the procedure redone some 10+ years later. However, my results with Dr. Weber were truly revolutionary, and the process couldn't have been easier. I was able to schedule my surgery relatively quickly, which was excellent considering I don't live in the Lone Tree area. From there, the procedure was quick, my recovery relatively painless, and the follow up and support from Dr. Weber truly top notch.
There are multiple, highly effective approaches to performing a brow lift (endoscopic brow lift, tricophytic/ hairline approach, coronal approach and direct or mid-forehead). The ideal approach depends upon the severity of brow and eyelid aging as well as the hairline position. A critical part of every brow lift or blepharoplasty consultation is to determine how much eyelid aging results from brow droop vs. heavy eyelids. This is an important distinction as the optimal result, in some cases, can involve either a brow lift or blepharoplasty or a combined procedure to both lift the sagging brow as well as remove excess upper eyelid tissue.
Brow lift can address:
- Lift the drooping eyebrow
- Remove “hooding” of the outer part of the upper eyelid
- Recreate the subtle, arched eyebrow synonymous with youth and beauty
- Reduce or remove frown lines
- “Open” the eyes
- Lower the hairline
