Gissel is the Medical Assistant for Weber Facial Plastic Surgery. Gissel is involved in every aspect of your care but focuses on our in office procedure patients and followup from surgical procedures. Gissel is a wealth of knowledge and experience and her role is to ensure that your in office procedures and post-surgical recovery proceed smoothly.
Gissel and her family left their native Dominican Republic for the United States with a goal of living the American Dream. One of the early steps in that dream was to attend college and gain an excellent education. One of Gissel’s early passions was healthcare which led her to pursue certification in both Holistic Nutrition and as a Clinical Medical Assistant. Her clinical practice prior to joining Weber Facial Plastic Surgery included experience in both the Urgent Care and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Gissel is also an active member of the community and is focused on helping those in need. Gissel has served as a board member for a local non-proift that teaches inner-city children resilience through art. She also volunteers at an shelter for homeless and abused youth. She has also had the experience of traveling to the Guaymi Indian Reserve in Costa Rica as part of a humanitarian mission.
In her free time, Gissel enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys reading, traveling, yoga, Crossfit, cooking and exploring new places here and abroad.
